🌳 Growing Hope: 7,000 Trees Planted Across Uasin Gishu

Over the past months, Saving Forest NGO has proudly planted 7,000 indigenous trees across schools and communities in Uasin Gishu County. This milestone represents more than numbers—it’s a growing symbol of commitment to environmental restoration, education, and community engagement.

Our initiative began with a simple goal: to support schools in creating greener, more sustainable learning environments. Through the Tree Donation Responsibility Agreement, each partner school received seedlings and guidance from our team on proper planting and long-term care. Teachers and students worked side by side to prepare the ground, plant the seedlings, and take responsibility for their ongoing maintenance.

We’re deeply grateful to all the schools, teachers, and students who joined us in this effort. Their enthusiasm and dedication have turned open fields into promising forests.

At this stage, planting activities have paused, as all 10,000 seedlings distributed have now been placed in the ground. Of these, 7,000 have already been successfully planted, and the remaining seedlings will continue to be nurtured in their nurseries until the next rainy season.

This is not the end of our journey—it’s the beginning of growth. Over the coming months, we’ll focus on monitoring, watering, and protecting the young trees to ensure their survival. We’re also developing educational materials to help schools integrate tree care into their environmental studies.

Together, we’re proving that small actions, taken consistently, can shape a greener future for Kenya.
