Fencing Bamboo Forest
The Bamboo Forest Restoration Project, initiated by Saving Forest in March 2023, focuses on rehabilitating 1.5 hectares of degraded bamboo forest in the Mount Mtelo region. The project involves fencing off the area to protect it from illegal logging and overgrazing, allowing natural regeneration to take place.
Wakor Tree Nursery
The Wakor Tree Nursery Project, initiated by Saving Forest in West Pokot County, aims to establish a sustainable tree nursery to support local reforestation efforts. The nursery will grow a variety of indigenous tree species, providing seedlings for reforestation projects in degraded areas across the county.
